New York, October 16^th (TradersHuddle.com) – Following are some of the upgrades and downgrades before the market open.

Alliance Data (NYSE: ADS) was upgraded to Outperform from Market Perform at Wells Fargo.

Boise Inc (NYSE: BZ) was downgraded to a Hold from Buy at TD Securities.

Citigroup (NYSE: C) was upgraded to a Strong Buy from Outperform at Raymond James.

Denbury Resources (NYSE: DNR) was upgraded to a Positive from Neutral at Susquehanna.

Expeditors International of Washington Inc. (NASDAQ: EXPD) was downgraded to a Neutral from Outperform at Robert W. Baird. The firm set its target price at $40.

Fossil (NASDAQ: FOSL) was upgraded to a Buy from Neutral at Citigroup.

Helmerich & Payne (NYSE: HP) was upgraded to Outperform from Sector Perform at RBC Capital.

Hub Group (NASDAQ: HUBG) was downgraded to a Hold from Buy at BB&T.

Kroger (NYSE: KR) was upgraded to a Buy from Hold at Jefferies.

Lorillard (NYSE: LO) was upgraded to Outperform from Market Perform at Wells Fargo.

Mechel Steel (NYSE: MTL) was downgraded to a Neutral from Overweight at HSBC Securities. The firm cut its target price to $7.60 from $10.60.

Riverbed Technology (NASDAQ: RVBD) was downgraded to a Neutral from Buy at Citigroup.

Sprint Nextel (NYSE: S) was upgraded to a Neutral from Underperform at Robert W. Baird. The firm boosted its target price on the stock to $6 from $4. Sprint was also upgraded to Market Perform from Underperform at Bernstein.

The Medicines Co (NASDAQ: MDCO) was upgraded to a Buy from Hold at Jefferies.

United Parcel Service (NYSE: UPS) was downgraded to a Neutral from Outperform at Robert W. Baird. The firm cut its target price to $80 from $84.

United Parcel Service (NASDAQ: UTIW) was downgraded to a Neutral from Outperform at Robert W. Baird. The firm lowered its target price to $15 from $16.
