New York, October 16th (TradersHuddle.com) - The overall market is trading higher with the S&P 500 adding 0.87%. Stocks of Broker / Dealers are are also trading higher, with NYSE Broker/Dealer index trading at 85.09, which represents 0.95% from its previous close. 9 out of 10 components of the index are trading higher.
Nomura (NYSE:NMR) is the index current top performer, trading at $3.5 representing 3.24%. versus the previous trading session. Shares of Nomura, the global finanicial services company based in Tokyo, Japan, have defined support at $3.36 and resistance at $3.67.
Ameriprise (NYSE:AMP) is also among the top performers, trading at $57.19 representing 1.78% from its previous close. Ameriprise, the financial planning firm has calculated support and resistance levels at $55.35 and $60.47 respectively. The other top performer is E*TRADE (NASDAQ:ETFC), which is trading at $9.25 representing 0.99% from the previous trading session.
The index worst performers include Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) that is trading at $124.3 or -0.16% from the previous close. Shares of Goldman Sachs, the premier global investment banking and securities firm have defined support at $111.90 and resistance at $122.94. Also among the worst performers is Raymond James (NYSE:RJF), which is trading at $37.29 representing 0.13% from the previous trading session.
